"My name is Tony and I started to be interested in the world of cinema at a very young age. In 1999, I started making my own films, using a pocket camera and free editing software. I quickly discovered my passion for visual storytelling, and began telling stories through film.
Over the years, I refined my skills and my filmmaking technique. I started studying video at school but also on my own at home where I learned the basics of film theory and practice. I also worked with audiovisual productions and associations as an assistant, editor and cameraman, which allowed me to learn the ins and outs of the director's job.
As time went by, I specialized in the direction of short films. I find it a very interesting format, because it allows to tell a complete story in a very limited time. It requires precision and creativity, as each shot must be carefully thought out and executed to get the desired result. Later on, my work extended to corporate films, digital formats, documentaries on sports and artists, television, music videos.
Filmmaking is not limited to shooting. I am equally passionate about the post-production work, which includes editing, special effects and color grading. This is the part of the creative process where the magic really happens. This is where the raw footage becomes a cohesive film with a story that flows in a fluid and captivating way.
Editing is an art in itself. Each image, each shot, must be carefully selected and assembled to tell the story in the most effective way possible. I like to use different types of editing, different styles to create interesting and captivating visual effects. As for special effects, I see them as an essential tool to bring the imagination to life; using special effects to add fantastic elements or to transform an ordinary scene into something more spectacular. Finally, color grading is for me a crucial step in giving the film its mood and style. Color grading gives a visual coherence to the whole film, using colors that reinforce the atmosphere and emotion of each scene.
I am a director with a passion for film, short films, humor and all the post-production work associated with it. Each step of the film making process is important and they all have to be mastered to get a coherent and captivating final result."
