David John Kelly

David John Kelly grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, and like millions of others, fell in love with movies at an early age. A performer since childhood, he switched to directing in his early teens after inheriting his uncle's old video camera and began shooting his own projects. During high school he studied video production and after graduating took a couple of short courses in film. Mostly self-taught, he learned the hard way by funding his own projects, a handful of which have played overseas and won some awards both at home and abroad. He doesn't limit himself to any one genre, just a compelling story, and always strives to make something bigger and better each time.
