Andrew Montague

With a background in fine art and an extensive career in film, tv and advertising, Andrew is a highly accomplished writer and director. A passion for storytelling, coupled with a self-starting attitude has seen him working at Academy Award winning studios, The Mill in London and MPC in New York City. He has broad experience across VFX, live action direction, motion graphics and creative leadership. He has been nominated at Cannes for best young director and his first short film, Attic was shot on location in New York City. Blackwood, his second short film, has garnered over 400k views online and attracted strong acclaim from within the horror community. He received an option offer from Chinese company Bamboo Curtain and pitched the feature script of Blackwood with good reception to Australian and international production companies. His latest film Magician premiered at Bafta and Academy qualifying Flickerfest film festival in Sydney. And has recently launched on Omeleto, youtube's biggest short film platform. He has a strong interest in genre film making, and is particularly interested in fatherhood in drama. His broad but strong skill set make him a dynamic writer and director able to comfortably take on the multiple challenges of film and tv production.
