Stéphane is an independent French filmmaker, screenwriter, and editor. Passionate about special effects since childhood, he has, in parallel with twenty years of experience in corporate films, web series, and advertising, directed about fifteen self-produced short films.
His influences come from 70s-80s TV culture, manga, Japanese series, US series like Space 1999, Hulk, Thunderbirds, Franco-Belgian Métal Hurlant comics and artists such as Franquin, Mézières, Moebius, or the great Juan Giménez.
In 2020, during the lockdown, to pass the time, he created a series of films with his 5-year-old twin daughters using the resources available in his father’s house and almost only practical VFX. This resulted in “Pirouette & Cacahuète adventures”, films where 2 kids face a dinosaur, a giant robot, or find themselves trapped in a video game.
Thanks to these films, which won awards at festivals, he was noticed and called upon to direct a youth program for French television featuring young teenagers seeking to unravel urban legends.
Today, in parallel with writing two feature films, he continues to write and direct low-budget science fiction shorts to seduce producers.
