Rita Hostt is an actress, screenwriter and director from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated from UNA (National University of Arts) in 2023. Pursuing an audiovisual path through self-management, in 2023 she wrote, produced, and starred in her first short film, Auntie Issues, which in a few months already won nine awards and continues its journey through national and international festivals, as well as her video minutes, Screwing Delia, Practical Handbook for the Contemporary Diva, and Self Portrait on Sand. She is currently working on the pre-production of her first feature film, Dedé, a coming of age LGBTQI+ film, the development of her anthology miniseries, Carilinas Porteñas, and the production of her transmedia theater work, Death of a Blue Horse. She is self-taught in film since her adolescence and nowadays studies scriptwriting at Patricio Vega's Script Lab. She has been studying acting since childhood with prominent teachers in her city. Recently, she studied Meisner Technique at The Acting Studio, New York with James Price and Acting for Film with Marco Berger. She studies film directing at Fundación Universidad del Cine, a prestigious film school in Buenos Aires.
