"Karim Ouaret was born on June 27, 1979, in Avignon, southern France, to a Spanish mother and an Algerian father. He is a director, writer, and producer of films. He first started directing music videos worldwide. After more than 130 music videos, he created his production company ""COME ON"" to produce his first short film ""LAPSUS."" ""LAPSUS"" won 84 awards in 116 international film festivals (Hollywood, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, London, Warsaw, New York, Atlanta...) and became the most awarded French short film. Lapsus opened the doors for Karim to work on TV series like ""Profilage"" (TF1), ""Chérif"" (France 2), ""Prise au piège"" (M6), and more recently, ""L'absente"" on NETFLIX. Currently, he is preparing the last 3 episodes of the first series for PARAMOUNT+ France, ""Le Signal,"" adapted from the book by Maxime Chattam, and produced by GAUMONT TV.
