A lonely man borrows money to cure his dying wife. When the lender dies and his wife inherits the debt she wants him to pay the borrowed money back. With no means to pay her back, the widower slowly starts losing his grip with reality. To solve his problems, he takes desperate measures to relieve himself of his debt.
